Welcome
We would like to extend a very warm welcome to Wellington for the 2009 Annual Scientific meeting of ANZBA.
The
theme of our conference is the Burn Care Continuum – reflecting on the
pathway from injury to rehabilitation along which a burn patient
travels and how all elements of that journey are integrated. We are
delighted that we have key note speakers who come from all sectors of
the burn care community: applied science, nursing, surgery, mental
health and rehabilitation highlighting the essential multidisciplinary
nature of burncare and indeed our association.
Wellington
is the vibrant political and cultural capital of New Zealand and our
conference venue, Te Papa Tongarewa – The Museum of New Zealand – is in
the very heart of the city and entertainment area. Wellington has the
best of everything on offer: from theatre and dining, world class
wineries and top sporting events – including perhaps even the most
exciting sailing experience ANZBA members will have had.
September
is a great time to visit New Zealand. Wellington’s central location
affords easy access to the rest of the country – north for thermal
attractions, fishing and skiing, south for vineyards, whale watching
and more skiing.
So once again we welcome everyone to our home for what we hope will be one of the best ANZBA conferences yet.
