David R Patterson PhD 
Psychologist UW-HMC Rehab Med and Burns, USA

David R Patterson PhD is a professor of psychology in the Departments of Rehabilitation Medicine, Surgery and Psychology at the University of Washington School of Medicine. His research and clinical interests are in pain control, hypnosis, and treating and measuring outcome after burn and
trauma injuries. He has over a 100 peer reviewed articles, 25 chapters and will be publishing his own book on hypnosis and pain in 2009. He has been funded since 1989 by the National Institutes of Health for his research on pain control, virtual reality and hypnosis. Dr Patterson is married with three boys. He plays and coaches soccer and his free time and is the drummer for a Seattle band known as the Shrinking Heads.

Dr Chandini Perera is a Sri Lankan Citizen who graduated with honors 2nd upper class with distinctions and Gold medal in Surgery

Password out from the Post Graduate Institute Of medicine Of Sri Lanka with a masters in Surgery and P.R Anthonis Gold medal for Surgery In 1996, After completing the Plastic Surgery training in Sri Lanka, spent 18 months At Royal North Shore Hospital In Sydney NSW . Was first introduced to Modern Burn Care at Royal North Shore Hospital.1997-2000 April

Since return was appointed as consultant Plastic Surgeon At the national Hospital Of Sri Lanka April 1st 2000. (The largest tertiary care Hospital In Asia) and having the only burns Unit in the Country.

Since Being In charge of the unit Began the first ever tangential excision Of burns with early excision and grafting of all admitted burn, Established a separate Physical therapy occupational therapy unit for Burn rehabilitation, Also a separate psychological counseling center and legal aid for burns. Has conducted annual teaching workshops for both the hospital and at least one Hospital in the peripheral Hospitals of The country each year including the war torn main hospital of the eastern province of our country.

Been a lectures and instructor for burn care to both Post graduates and under graduates. Since20047 established a 6 month Burns training program that is appropriate for our local set up for all plastic surgical trainees. Established a One day training work shop for Post basic Nurses training college.
Been an invited speaker for burns at an international level in India Japan, Hong Kong Nicaragua USA and Canada

Web based and other publications on Reconstruction of post burn reconstruction and prevention of post burn hand deformities.
Currently an out reach director for Interplast US and a resource person for ANZBA as n EMSB instructor. Also resource person for WIN (women in need) an NGO for domestic violence and abuse.

Original Robert Kreis started his surgical career as a trauma and vascular surgeon. After the retirement of the well known Dutch (burn) surgeon professor Rudi Hermans, he took over the responsibility for the burn unit. Special field of interest are the topic of wound healing and burns in disaster management. Besides that, basic work has been done in skin expansion techniques, skin banking and the founding of the "European Skin Bank" and the "Burns Research Institute".
Robert Kreis is professor in "Burn Treatment" at the Free University of Amsterdam and also (res.) LtCol in the Dutch Army

Acute Care Nurse Practitioner for the Burn Service at Loyola University Medical Center.  Received a Masters in Science as a CNS in 1990 and a post-masters Nurse Practitioner Degree in 2000 both from Loyola University.  Over 20 years of burn care experience in the treatment and care of burn patients across the care continuum.  Numerous presentations and publications regarding burn care.  Member of many organizations including Board of Trustees for American Burn Association.
