The Australian and New Zealand Burn Association was founded in 1976 and later incorporated in 1991. The principal object of this association is to encourage higher standards in the prevention of burn injury and burn patient care. This is attempted through both continuting research and education
programs.

 The 2009 Annual meeting is expected to attract approximately 250-300 Delegates.

 Those attending the conference will be primarily from New Zealand and Australia including a number of international delegates and high profile keynote speakers. Experts in all aspects of burn injury research and treatment are expected to attend.

Delegates will be mostly health professionals who specialise in the Burns field. These delegates are the users and developers of leading edge technologies and information that are the essential tools of the burn industry including:
