Nelson

first European settlers with their many colourful cultural mixes, the
days of Nelson being a “Sleepy Hollow”, through to the current

Today Nelson offers many ways you can interact with this rich history

contemporary museum in the City Centre, with the biggest historical
photograph collection in the country.
- An arranged visit to
the Whakatu Marae, paddle a Waka or take a Maori guided bush walk

European settlers live? Try Founders Park and Broadgreen House

the Pidgeon Steam Museum
- The Treasured Pathway
provides a tour of the human and natural history of the region.
