Call for Abstracts
We are currently accepting abstract submissions and proposals for
presentation at CAMHS 2010.

for abstract submissions is 5pm on Friday, 25 June 2010.
Please note that this will not register you to attend the conference.
All presenters are required to register as delegates for the
conference.

Werry Workforce ICAMH Innovative Workforce and Service
Achievement Awards
We
are pleased to announce the inaugural Werry Centre Innovative Workforce
Development and Service Awards. These awards recognise and encourage
innovation in workforce and service development in infant, child and
adolescent mental health.
We want to celebrate and strengthen
workforce development, service provision and exceptional contributions
to the mental health and well being of infants, children and youth and
those who support them.
The winning applicants will have
demonstrated significant benefits to the mental
health and
well being of infants, children and youth by growing the
capability and capacity of the ICAMH and related workforces.
Applications should be endorsed by service users – young people and /or
their whanau.
The short list of finalists will be published on
the Werry Centre website after entrants have been notified. The Awards
will be presented at the conference in Nelson, 15-16 September 2010
Application
Closing Date: 25th June 2010
Categories are:
- Innovation in
workforce development in the infant, child and adolescent mental health
sector.
- Innovation in service
development benefiting workers infants, children and adolescents using
mental health services.
Winners in each category receive:
- $2000 for the winners
- $1000 for the runner up
- Concession rate for
conference registration
- Display certificate
- Publication on the
Werry Centre website
All
CAMH services including NGOs are able to apply. All applications must
include an endorsement from a young person or family member who has
benefited from the innovation.
The entry should include a
concise description of the workforce or service innovation, describe
the challenges it was intended to overcome and evidence of how
improvements have been achieved and recorded.
Winners will be
selected by an independent panel of sector leaders including youth and
whanau who have accessed CAMH services. Winners will be notified by
16th July 2010.
