Welcome, welcome come forth visitors from afar for this important conference.
Let
us hold the sacredness of our bearers of life, let us make it safe for
our future leaders, let us assist them to aspire to their individual
greatness.
The abuse and exploitation of
women is a social problem of epidemic proportions which adversely
affects the health of millions of women each year. Substantial
progress has been made in raising awareness about violence against
women and children, yet the complexity of violence begs collaborative
partnerships and innovations to create social change. This
conference is an excellent international opportunity for all engaged in
stopping violence to come together and share knowledge, experience and
innovations.
Participants
from across the health disciplines as well as from government,
non-government and community organisations are welcome.
Conference themes include:
- Action across the lifespan
- Cross-sector collaboration and partnerships
- Innovative interventions
- Policy to practice
- Research to reality
- Cultural contexts across the globe
