Professor Michael Chester
Director of the National Refractory Angina Centre,
Consultant Cardiologist Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospital NHS Trust.
Professor of Rehabilitation and Preventive Health Education, Liverpool Hope University

Professor Chester is a renowned speaker. He is a former interventional cardiologist who passionately believes that treating patients and colleagues like valued customers improves the quality of life of all involved and enables patients to avoid unnecessary procedures.

The multi award winning National Refractory Angina Centre (NRAC) is the embodiment of genuine person centred healthcare and shows what can be achieved when front-line health workers are allowed to do the right thing for the right reasons.

Described in 2003, by the Chief Executive of the NHS as, “truly leading the way in customer excellence,” Mike is the current holder of the prestigious Sunday Times & Henley Management College, customer experience leadership award.
Lorimer Moseley
Senior Research Fellow, Prince of Wales Medical Research Institute, Randwick, Australia

Lorimer undertook a PhD through the Pain Management Research Institute at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney, and post-doctoral fellowships in Brisbane and Sydney.  From 2005-8 he was Nuffield Medical Research Fellow in the Pain Imaging Neuroscience Group, University of Oxford, UK and has just returned to Australia to take up a Senior Research Fellowship at Prince of Wales Medical Research Institute. He has published over 60 research papers and given over 100 keynote and invited presentations in 17 countries. He was recently named the outstanding mid-career clinical scientist working in a pain-related field by the International Association for the Study of Pain. His work focusses on explaining the underlying biology of pain to clinicians and patients, and on developing novel non-pharmacological treatments for chronic pain syndromes. 
Michael Nicholas

Michael is Director of the ADAPT Pain Management Program at the Pain Management & Research Centre (PMRC), Royal North Shore Hospital (Sydney). He holds a conjoint appointment as Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Sydney, where he is a founding faculty member of the postgraduate diploma and masters degree in pain medicine. Michael has over 25 years experience in this field and over 80 publications on pain and its management, including the popular self-management book for pain sufferers, called Manage Your Pain. Currently, he is researching the self-management of persisting pain in older Australians, as well as ways of reducing the threat value of persisting pain and the role of different self-management strategies in adjustment to persisting pain.
