Hotel Accommodation

We have negotiated a range of special conference rates for delegates at two hotels close to the conference venue The Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, in the heart of downtown Wellington close to restaurants, nightlife, banks and shops.
To access these special hotel rates bookings must be made through the conference secretariat online booking form or hard copy registration form. These rates are not available directly from the hotel.

Room rates stated below are in NZ dollars, include NZ Goods and Services Tax.

Museum Hotel
The Museum Hotel is a 4 star and directly across the road from Te Papa, with harbour views and recently refurbished to luxurious standards.

The in-house facilities include a fitness centre, lap pool, Swedish sauna & spa pool, restaurant and bar, Lobby Cafe & Wine Bar, complimentary guest laundry, in-house movies, Sky TV, individual voicemail and easy Internet access (analogue, wireless and high speed digital connections). Complimentary Internet access is available for guests in the Lobby area.

The Duxton Hotel
The Duxton Hotel Wellington is the host of our Gala Dinner and is a luxurious 4.5 star international hotel, directly opposite Te Papa and close to all theatres, shopping, restaurants, nightlife, banks and central business districts are within walking distance.

Spacious rooms enjoy panoramic harbour or city views. The marble bathrooms with separate baths and showers give a sense of opulence and home away from home. In room services include luxuriously soft bathrobes, plunger coffee, daily newspaper, Sky TV, hairdryer, iron & ironing board. Enjoy Award winning Grill Restaurant and bars and in-house gym.

Terms & Conditions of bookings: Credit card details are required to secure your booking and will be passed to the hotel. Rooms can be to another name without charge.

Cancellation Policy: The Hotel reserves the right to charge one nights room rate for those delegates who fail to arrive or for cancellations received after 26 April 2007 (30 days notice). Cancellations must be made in writing and sent to the Conference Secretariat.

It is delegates' own responsibility to clear their own accounts including outstanding room charges, tax, mini bar, incidentals and damages directly to the hotel upon the check out.
