Description:
A
one-day Employers’ Seminar scheduled for 28th February 2007
coincides with the start of the 2007 Continuing Professional
Development and formal educational programmes for occupational medicine
practitioners in the Middle East. The Chief Academic Officer of Harvard
Medical School Dubai Center will open the seminar, and introduce
presenters from Otago University (New Zealand) and UAE University. The
theme, “People At Work – Working at People”, responds
to Middle East employers’ concerns about the extended time it
often takes for ill and injured staff to return to their normal work.
The seminar programme is designed to raise awareness and skill levels in
participating employers so that they can better manage barriers to
return to work in their organisations. It will show how sickness
absence and disability can most effectively be managed, whether an
organisation’s occupational health services are in-house or
contracted.
